The Sea
The sea is no longer grey
and purple striped mussel clusters
wash up onto the dunes.
A plane cuts a straight cloud across the sky.
Natures clouds spread out in wisps,
and billowing bodies with no particular aims,
headed inland and west.
And the sea, green, lightning glowing ,
deep blued further back,
looks at me and reminds me
of all the bodies that drifted out
from brave ships,
stretched by salt water,
and covered in urchins.
Bones drawn down to crown
deep kingdoms,
where colors burst forth
towards the surface.
slick bodies and mysteries
that only the dead whispered of.
Into the realm of Neptune
where countless dreamers drank deep,
the brackish water from
the cup of life.
