A Poem by Douglas Caraballo
And the thought remains:
Will all these men who murder,
continue their wars, in heaven and hell?
When they encounter each other
in those strange lands,
will their wars rage
beyond space and time?
This world is bled over by fools
who crave their glory echo,
Rippling through salt and blood.
The earth, wept dry by the age of man,
crawling through rolling vines
and sand painted mars.
And the silence after.
